Spelling slowed me way down.
I don't get the clue for #10, but I was able to get the word with the first half of the clue, plus the theme.

#10 is awesome ... the clue, not the item itself ... although the item might be awesome too, but I have no experience there.

#10 is the one I assume they think I have wrong but I can't think of anything else that fits it. That or I have a spelling issue even though I checked everything twice.
Nope it was 1 that got me. I spell it a different way.

Yup! "Spaghetti minus a hot dog" had me stumped for a while too but I also had enough #7 in me to get me through.

The spellings are tough for a non-snob like me. Remember folks, the clues are ALL phonetic this time! fun.
It took me until clue #9 to get my first answer and thereby the theme. I thought clue #2 had soemthing to do with "Peanot Butter". hey, it goes on toast, right? :)

[3][4][6][7][8][9] Yeah, I modded this, and #10 is kind of... lateral. But it was just too funny, once it hits you. And I was fairly sure people would get the answer anyway from the theme and the first part... and thankfully, you guys did :)

amazing that as a non-drinker this is the first puzzle I solved, must be due to the daughter that works at an upscale local restaurant :)

I could solve most of these on knowledge - I used to pour at tastings. But I did have to go to a <theme> list in order to find all the proper spellings.

#12 is used to make a classic chicken or veal Italian dish. It's strictly for cooking. And have drunk all of the others at least once and still got the spellings wrong at first.

Glad you used a "hot dog", so to speak, for 10 and not a slang term/photo. Should actually be easy for those in New England or New York.
