Got them all pretty quickly, except for #11. I recognize him, but I couldn't remember his last name and the background didn't help me.

I feel stupid. I solved cryptopix & OWW, then blazed through this and it said, "you're right but we aren't going to save your answer." That's when I found out it was my hubby logged onto this computer, not me. Oh, well. He got some good points, I guess.

I STILL need a hint with 11. What is that food supposed to be???
Mashed Potatoes?
Polenta?
Grits?
Plantains?
And I recognize the actor but can't think of what he's been in.

He wasn't them in the second movie, either.

[16] It's a generic kind of cereal (ie not a brand name, at least not one that's well-known). It's mentioned in "There's a Sucker Born Every Minute", a song from the musical "Barnum." (I remember this from my old high school musical.)

Certainly was no help that the Barnum salt provided led me to this page http://www.allthelyrics.com/lyrics/barnum_sound... which didn't include the word in question...
[17] and digging through IMDb finally provided the answer..

Had it all but 11. Thank God for the Scrabble Franklin where I could punch in _X__Y_ And it actually popped into my head before I got to the proper starting letter.
