I am confused. We get new puzzles 5 times a day now instead of just 10 pm eastern?

[7] Yes, for a while now, there have been "unfeatured" puzzles, 6 per day. If you haven't noticed that, then you have close to a thousand more puzzles to work on! When viewing the archive, be certain that you are viewing "all" puzzles, or at least "unfeatured" ones to see the list.
They are now cutting it down to 4 unfeatured per day- but that still means there will be 7 or 8 puzzles per day (depending on whether or not it is a featured hypercross day)
Rats! Had my hopes up. No matter how early I get in to work of a morning still can't be in top 100. I was hoping for a morning time puzzle so I would have a chance.
[9] Skyjack, MANY of the Unfeatured puzzle have less than 100 solves, so any of them that you complete will put you in the top 100 for that puzzle.
There just aren't any bonus points for this.

[12] Well, if you haven't solved all those unfeatureds, then you easily have over 900 points worth of puzzles to do there :-) Otherwise, you'll just have to make the time to get on line when the new ones appear, or resign yourself to only getting 30/50 points per day by doing the featureds only without bonus points.

When the Mods started in June we had 22 pages of puzzles in our queue, each page having 51 puzzles on it.
We’re down to 2 pages.
I can’t tell you how proud I am of the Mods and the work they’re doing. Yeah, they’re not perfect, but Tanga is definitely better off with them around. And if not Tanga, then at least me – I’m absolutely better off with the Mods on the job :)
So, with the queue down to a reasonable size, we’re gonna do away with the 4am and the 10pm Unfeatured puzzles. Starting WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 17, the new TPS (Tanga Puzzle Schedule) looks like this:

6am
9am
12:30pm
4pm
7pm – Featured puzzles
Everyone go to bed!
Note to puzzlemakers: What this also means is that Aaron and I will most likely NOT be Unfeaturing puzzles anymore, as those two times were essentially for us. We will still be making the judgment calls, but if we feel a Nominated puzzle should be Unfeatured, it will be kicked back to the Mods now and they will Unfeature it. But just FYI, if your puzzle was Nominated, one of us has definitely looked at it.
