[1] The answer's based on the sound of the name (pic 1), not the spelling.

I have to agree about the spelling problem. There have been many times I've wished that Tanga's puzzle code could take multiple spellings. :)

The second picture is not what the answer suggests. It is a Brad. The thing the answer implies has a much smaller head.

The whole time, I thought that thing was an icepick.
As to spelling - [25] is right. You use the "actual" words when you explain them, and the "title" words when you name them.
